NILESH PATEL FCA
Nilesh is the senior Partner at Hakim Fry Chartered Accountants having being instrumental in forming the practice in 1992. Prior to this he spent a number of years after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, with a mid-tier firm with 100 Partners and 900 staff. He has worked with clients in a number of business sectors, including software design, computer hardware distribution, leasing finance, construction, retail, hotel and leisure and project management as well as commercial/residential property dealing. He blends a business advisory service to cover corporate restructure, valuations, financing alongside compliance audit, accounting and taxation services for both UK businesses as well as overseas investors into UK business sectors.
He has presented extensively with other intermediaries to include property agents and bankers as well as property developers.
He particularly enjoys being advisor to family companies providing a blend of corporate and personal advisory services, encompassing growth, succession and exit strategies.
Nilesh now has specific responsibilities for Audits and Regulatory matters and is a registered Senior Statutory Auditor. Hakim Fry are very active in the audit sector as well as specialising in business advisory services for the SME market.
Lynn Sherstone ACA, FCCA, MAAT
Lynn commenced her accountancy career with a firm of Chartered Accountants in Surrey, later joining Hakim Fry in 2002, where she pursued her academic studies in accountancy further.
At Hakim Fry, Lynn speedily qualified as a Certified Accountant in 2006, later gaining Chartered status too, and became a Partner in August 2010. She currently advises clients who include owner managed Companies, Charities, Sole traders, Partnerships & LLP’s across various industries. These include Estate Agents, Farmers, Retailers, Manufacturers and Opticians, to name a few.
With over 30 years general practice experience behind her, in addition to dealing with general compliance issues for her owner managed clients and private clients, Lynn is also regularly involved in helping clients prepare comprehensive business plans, cash flow forecasts, accounting system reviews, hand holding startups and other business supporting functions.
She prides herself on being able to give a personal service that helps her clients meet their needs.

We have a specialist team of people ranging from Business Tax Advisors, Audit Assurance, as well as Business Support Seniors who have been with us for many years, thereby offering continuity of service.

An experienced and highly proficient Qualified Chartered and Certified Accountant with 40+ years of auditing and management experience at Financial Controller level. Possesses strong leadership, audit, taxation, management accounts and statutory accounts experience with hands-on experience in companies ranging from small to listed. He is highly adaptable having dealt with the accounts and regulatory requirements for a diverse range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, LLPs, retailers, estate agents, charities, kitchen design and installation contractors and many others.
Alex is also known for his highly likeable character and strong interpersonal skills.
Akshay Rane
Audit & Accounts Senior
I am an Audit/Accounts Senior and joined the firm in March 2024. I am currently studying towards my ACCA qualification and have 5 years’ experience in audit and accounts in both FRS 102 and IFRS. I have experience in leading audits for listed entities, groups, SME’s, charities, and educational institutions across a variety of industries from service to retail. I also have experience preparing year end accounts for a variety of businesses including FCA regulated entities.

Barbican Computer Services - Payroll Senior
I have worked for Barbican Computer Services for the last 8 years. I manage a large portfolio of clients where I ensure all payrolls are processed accurately and on time. I deal with all aspects of payroll services, this includes processing weekly and monthly payrolls, auto enrolment, BACS & PAYE payments, attachment of earnings orders, calculating statutory payments and end of year returns.

Although employed on a part time basis, my main goal is to get as much out of the day as possible. Working closely with the Admin Team we aim to provide a professional and helpful service to all of our clients.
